Bay Area Rapid Transit

BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) is the fast, easy, low-cost way to get to San Francisco or other cities from SFO or OAK. Round-trip BART fares are about the same as one-way shuttle vans and $80 less then round trip taxis. Taking BART also avoids traffic and is only a half-hour ride from SFO or OAK to San Francisco. You can also buy round-trip tickets in advance from SFO to any city served by BART at Connections page. BART is the car-free way to travel around and see the Bay Area too. Our conveniently located stations are close to many of the Bay Area's most popular destinations. The 8 minute ride on sleek, new BART trains goes to the Coliseum station and connects to a BART train going to your final destination. During peak hours 8:00-20:00 daily, trains operate every 5 minutes. Every round trip from SFO or OAK to San Francisco on BART's all electric trains keeps 20 pounds of carbon particles out of the air.
